Effective Dosage: There is currently no clinical evidence that Apple Extract is effective as a weight loss supplement at any dosage.
For many years now apple extract has been broadly studied for their health benefits in cancer, heart disease, diabetes, chronic diseases and weight loss. Recent animal studies have shown evidence that phytochemicals, also known as "apple polyphenols," can reduce belly fat deposits.
Apple extract commonly comes from the apple peel. The compounds most commonly found in apple peels consist of the procyanidins, catechin, epicatechin, chlorogenic acid, phloridzin, and the quercetin conjugates. Animal and limited human studies have shown that Phlorizin (Phloridzin) has potential as a diabetic treatment as well as for weight loss as it is thought to affect liver glucose overproduction and lower blood sugar levels. Catechins, such as those found in Green Tea Extract, are though to promote thermogenesis (increased metabolism)
